I came into the same problem.

Imagine you have a translatable validation message that must contain ${...} 
literal:

message=URL must contain "${id}", for example, "http://somesite.com/${id}";, 
where {$id} will be substituted with parner code.

How to backslash ${id}?

\${id}?

and how to backslash "\${id}" literal.
