Resolution: Fixed
Fixed with r979042 in 1.4.x and r979041 in trunk.
A default constructor is added that initialize the provider with an empty list.
#size() is also updated to use #getData().
The attached patch is not used. You can easily make your own
loadable/detachable provider by extending this one.
