AjaxLazyLoadPanel doesnt work when used in a portlet

AjaxLazyLoadPanel doesnt load the panel to be lazily loaded, it seems to get
stuck with showing the spinner. I think ajax callback doesnt work for some
reason....
When the app is deployed outside the portal is works fine....
