Maybe this is related to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WICKET-2348
I tested this behavior on Windows 7 (german) with the wicket-quickstart on
jetty. The deployed application runs on a linux / Tomcat 6 with
default-encoding set to UTF-8 (same as suggested by Igor in the "related"
issue). There the problem is not appering.
