Closing the ticket as "Later".
The provided patch by Peter Pastrnak has been added to WicketStuff project -
https://github.com/wicketstuff/core/tree/master/jdk-1.6-parent/portlet-parent.
Since then it didn't get much attention so we think there is no reason to add
it to the official Wicket distribution.
