Closing as "Later" because it seems there is no interest in this right now.
Maybe with Wicket 8 (depending on JDK 8) this will be relevant again ?!
In my trainings I recommend against AjaxFallback* components because it is 2014
and AjaxFallback** components just add extra markup for no real benefit most of
the time.
