Looks like the issue has surfaced in Chrome 52 on our Nexus 9 running Android 
6.0.1 as well.

As mister Grigorov mentioned earlier, selection does work on the second 
attempt. However, our application has _show list on focus gain_ set to false, 
which means that you do not get a second attempt, exacerbating the issue.
