Among many other new features (such as JAXP 1.4 and the StAX event API) this release introduces experimental support for XML Schema 1.1, including the PsychoPath XPath 2.0 processor from Eclipse (used for processing XML Schema 1.1 assertions). One of our committers works on both projects so there's been some good collaboration across the communities. We're planning on having another release (2.11.0) in November. + + Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is wrapping up again. Our three students (Ishan, Udayanga and Sanjaya) have just completed their projects. Some have expressed interest in continuing to contribute after GSoC ends which is an encouraging sign.
