Review Comment:
   You can add an `orElseThrow` here and throw an `IllegalStateException` or 
something similar to indicate that there is no file with the provided 
modification time. Then you will not need to add empty handling for the option 
in other parts of the code.

   You can add an orElseThrow here and throw an IllegalStateException or
