Review Comment:
   for now I don't see why the second sync is not considering the first one as 
done, it takes the first 5 rows plus the new data write (5 rows + 1 appended) 
as the data to sync (while it should take only (5 rows + 1 appended))
   
   cleanupTargetMetadata() is only to bypass the error...
