## What
Bumps the `hudi.version` property on `branch-0.4` from `0.14.0` to `0.14.2`,
picking up the latest patch release in the Hudi 0.14.x line.
## Why
`branch-0.4` targets the Hudi 0.x line, and 0.14.2 is the final patch
release of that line. Staying on 0.14.0 means missing the bug fixes shipped in
0.14.1 and 0.14.2.
## Scope
This is a one-line change. Every Hudi coordinate in the reactor already
resolves through the single `${hudi.version}` property, so no other files need
updating:
- `xtable-core` — `hudi-spark-bundle`, `hudi-common`, `hudi-java-client`,
`hudi-sync-common`
- `xtable-aws` / `xtable-hive-metastore` — `hudi-hive-sync`
- `xtable-hudi-support-extensions` — `hudi-client-common`, `hudi-sync-common`
- `xtable-utilities`, `xtable-spark-runtime` — bundle + java-client
`0.14.2` is published on Maven Central for all of the above artifacts.
## Intentionally not changed
- The docs (`features-and-limitations.md`, `athena.md`, `glue-catalog.md`,
`spark.md`, `how-to.md`) state that Hudi 0.14.0 is *required when reading a
Hudi target table*. That is a minimum-reader-version statement rather than the
build dependency, so raising it to 0.14.2 would incorrectly narrow what users
can read with.
- `demo/notebook/demo.ipynb` pins Hudi 0.14.0, but it is already stale (it
references `xtable-*-0.2.0-SNAPSHOT.jar`). Updating only its Hudi line seemed
like the wrong half-fix; happy to refresh the notebook separately.
## Testing
Relying on CI for verification — the full `./mvnw clean install` suite plus
the Spark 3.4/3.5 `xtable-spark-runtime` bundle integration tests, all of which
run against `branch-0.4`. Local verification was not practical on the
contributor's machine (WSL over `/mnt/c`).
