+    * The first India HUG event laid the foundation for Indian Hadoop 
enthusiasts to come together and discuss “Hadoop” and other technologies around 
it.
+    * The presentation by Rajeev Gupta from IBM Research lab provided an high 
level view of how enterprises may use Hadoop by combining the power of 
databases together with Hadoop for a scalable DW. The high level view also 
reflected on how Hadoop can be utilized in a BI solution as well as use of JAQL

+    * The presentation by Aby Abraham from Yahoo! Bangalore was around a 
Hadoop subproject- Zookeeper, which is a distributed synchronization service 
and is already being used in Hbase. Zookeeper is a candidate for solving the 
Hadoop name node SPOF (single point of failure).  The presentation is available

+    * The last presentation by Sanjay Sharma from Impetus on Hadoop Advanced 
optimizations and tuning raised participants interests on knowing how simple 
configuration and tricks can make Hadoop run faster. The presentation is
