Hi Folks, It is a pain to checkout source for Hadoop versions then set it up in your IDE if one wishes to step-into and DEBUG Hadoop jobs. This is reflected by the absence of sources or javadoc maven artifacts for recent releases of the 1.2 branch[0]. I thought that this issue has been reported and resolved a good while back [1], however it seems that this has either not made it in to recent releases or was just dropped as no one needed it. Anyways, if this is something which folks think is worth having, then I will create a patch for development versions and get it submitted to Jira. It would be nice to have this automated for the release cycle.
