Andrew Wang reopened HADOOP-10793:
----------------------------------
I'm reopening this. Single dash is the standard for other Hadoop commands, as
well as {{java}}, e.g. {{java -version}} or {{java -server}. I think that's
sufficient convention.
Owen, I'm surprised I need to say this, but closing JIRAs as invalid is not an
appropriate form of discussion. Please stop doing this.
> Key Shell args use double dash style

> Follow-on from HADOOP-10736 as per [~andrew.wang] - the key shell uses the
> gnu double dash style for command line args, while other command line
> programs use a single dash. Consider changing this, and consider another
> argument parsing scheme, like the CommandLine class.
