    Resolution: Duplicate

Hello [~ssriniva...@gmail.com].  The S3A file system implementation already 
provides a lot of flexibility in the authentication options, including IAM 
role-based authentication.  For more details, see issues HADOOP-10400, 
HADOOP-12537, HADOOP-12723 and HADOOP-12807.

If this issue refers to the legacy S3 and S3N file system instead of S3A, then 
it's unlikely that changes would be made to those.  The investment is going 
into S3A at this point.

I'm going to resolve this issue as a duplicate, but please feel free to reopen 
if I misunderstood something.
