Not many people seem aware of the fact that thers's a new ftp fs client in progress
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-14444 Can anyone who likes to use ftp:// test against their own FTP endpoints....it's a diverse enough platform that it'd be good to know how well it works, and so, how ready this is for replacing the original ftp client
