Resolution: Won't Fix
It has been brought to my attention that Yahoo! has been working on a Java
system testing framework that has the same goals as Circus. I'm going to go
ahead and resolve this issue as "Won't Fix." I would have appreciated it if a
JIRA was opened for this new system to avoid duplicate work.
Chris, Allen, Owen, Todd, and Steve, I think this new system testing framework
would greatly benefit from your feedback. I hope you are all as involved in
their JIRA as you were in mine.
Thanks for all the feedback and involvement, everyone. I'm going to stop work
on Circus with the assumption that this new framework will be adopted by the
community and continually improved to ultimately make Hadoop's QA process
better.
