* fixes a few shellcheck errors (including reworking document_optionals)
* fixes a few whitespace errors
* full path now used for optional components
* hadoop-openstack dependency plugin wasn't getting configured
* set the mode on hadoop-layout.sh.example
(I won't be submitting this to Jenkins.)
