Seems reasonable —care to contribute a patch?
Regarding S3 tests, try changing to the {{hadoop-aws}} directory, then going
{code}
mvt -Pparallel-tests -DtestsThreadCount=8
{code}
tests run in about the time it takes to brew a cup of tea.
