bq, Hi Akira, could you comment on downstream usage of these APIs? These are
pretty easy for us to keep supporting, so there isn't that much upside from
removing them.
I couldn't comment that. If we don't remove these deprecated APIs in Hadoop 3,
we need to support them for another 2-4 years and the next timing is probably
Hadoop 4. For this reason, I filed this jira. I agreed that supporting these
APIs are easy, so closing this.
