Unfortunately, we did not manage to finalize the support for Log4j 1
configuration files in Log4j 2.7. There is some experimental support in 2.7,
but not complete or stable yet. We will continue to work on this, but I cannot
promise any particular release or time right now.
However, this should not block you from making progress in Hadoop. If you find
anything blocking you, please raise the issue as a comment here and we will
have a look.
