side issue: code uses the traditional part-m-%04d naming pattern. Given that s3
uses the first few chars for its hashing, would it better to have a pattern
like "p-%04d", or, to be really daring, put the UUID first. I don't think you'd
see the benefits of this unless the output was [almost at the root of the
bucket though
