We recently ran into this bug in branch-2.8.
I think we should back-port this patch back to branch-2.8.
Also I think we should back-port all the bug fixes back to branch-2.8 and
branch-2.7 if the bug was introduced in 2.6.
[~xiaochen], [~andrew.wang]: Do you know of any more surprises (bug fixes) in
EZ feature which are not back-ported all the way back to branch-2.8 ?
