I think you should create a general "support snowball" JIRA and work on it
together, testing included. Why? Because there are other things it doesn't
like, including, AFAIK, DELETE. So all the tricks done with create/delete mock
dir entries is going to go horribly wrong. Start with the testing, then we can
worry about fixing
