This looks reasonable to me. Have you looked into the work and evaluated how
much effort to do so? I'm not sure if it's already pluggable. If not yet, we
could make it pluggable first and then support other database.
For your note, AFAIK, the HADOOP-13345 work mainly works for solving the
consistency issues incurred by S3. For OSS, looks like you mainly wants to
optimize the performance.
