I'm swamped at the moment and will be in and out of office till after
thanksgiving, but I will try to review this week since I'd really like this
feature!
Initial question: do you know why there's a ~50% degradation? That's
concerning and may severely impede performance (to the point I can't use it :()
since the handlers may be starved waiting for the degraded readers to decypt
the messages. If you haven't already, please profile.
