Aaron Fabbri commented on HADOOP-14475:
---------------------------------------
v15 patch looks good with minor change:
{noformat}
+its own metrics system called s3a-file-system, and each instance of the client
+will create its own metrics source, named with a JVM-unique numerical ID and ID
+and the bucket name.
{noformat}
This needs to be updated, right?
{noformat}
+ private void registerAsMetricsSource(URI name) {
+ int number;
+ synchronized(this) {
+ getMetricsSystem();
+
+ metricsSourceActiveCounter++;
{noformat}
You could move getMetricsSystem() up a line if you want. I've been brainwashed
that recursive mutexes are evil, but this is totally valid Java code so feel
free to giggle and just ignore me here. :-)
> Metrics of S3A don't print out when enable it in Hadoop metrics property file
