* remember to hit the "submit patch" button for jenkins to kick off its test
run.
* I'm waiting for a review of HADOOP-15546; I'd like to get that in before
other major changes take place, as they are going to obsolete that work, I'll
have to redo it, and we'll end up in a losing battle about stabilising things
