[~xkrogen], I was following [HADOOP-15124] and hopefully there will be a
refined implementation of FS.Statistics. After that, we can update the
[HADOOP-13435] and [HADOOP-13032]. I don't have ETA when [HADOOP-15124] is
ready to commit. If you are interested, feel free to pick up any work. I can
