seems to be caused by an EOF happening early
https://github.com/aws/aws-sdk-java/blob/master/aws-java-sdk-core/src/main/java/com/amazonaws/util/LengthCheckInputStream.java#L148

Imagine the file was changed to 0 bytes after the operation kicked off? 

In which case HADOOP-15625 will make this go away
