Things to be checked:
* Record is in the MS, but not in S3

Only makes sense if
* during testing, after a test failure it can be wired *before* the cleanup to
debug the inconsistent state -> as a diagnostic tool.
* the MS is running in auth mode, and there is no short term metadata expiry
