About the values: I think this is as good as it gets. If we get any feedback from our `customers` (so other components) that something is slow, we may want to finetune these values. But right now the > with 500ms and 7 attempts, that's 64s of delay, with 32s being the final pause. looks reasonable. I'm running the test now, I'll be back with the results soon.
