Steve Loughran commented on HADOOP-7509:
----------------------------------------
This looks good, and I can see why no tests are needed.
One possible improvement -which I've started doing with connection errors -is
have the exception actually point to a hadoop wiki page entry where more
detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting hints can go in, such as for
http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/NoRouteToHost . Would that make sense here -and
is there already a wiki page to point to?

> The message when security is enabled and authentication is configured to be
> simple is not explicit enough. It simply prints out "Authentication is
> required" and prints out a stack trace. The message should be "Authorization
> (hadoop.security.authorization) is enabled but authentication
> (hadoop.security.authentication) is configured as simple. Please configure
> another method."
