Can you please clarify: the PR description says `branch-3` (indicating this
would be targeted for the next 3.X minor release) but the PR seems to be filed
against `branch-3.3` (indicating this would be targeted for the next 3.3.X
maintenance release).
I assume you were intending the latter (3.3.X maintenance release). If so,
I'm -1 on this for the reasons outlined in [this
comment](https://github.com/apache/hadoop/pull/4580#issuecomment-1187715602) on
#4580.
