spark have hit this on a test of the 3.3.5 branch before this went in.
i'm now worried that we are going to be raising multiple exceptions whenever an
xsl transformer is instantiated and that could hurt performance.
Should we track which options are allowed via an atomic boolean for each one,
which is set to true the first time an exception is raised -and so future
attempts are skipped completely?
