rebasing to trunk to remove patch complains.

I've run test-patch locally with and without the patch and I get the same 
number of warnings:

    +1 tests included.  The patch appears to include 2 new or modified test 
files.

    -1 javadoc.  The javadoc tool appears to have generated 8 warning messages.

    -1 javac.  The applied patch generated 1707 javac compiler warnings (more 
than the trunk's current 1706 warnings).

    +1 eclipse:eclipse.  The patch built with eclipse:eclipse.

    -1 findbugs.  The patch appears to introduce 20 new Findbugs (version 
1.3.9) warnings.

    +1 release audit.  The applied patch does not increase the total number of 
release audit warnings.
