Thank you very much for your interest in upgrading to JDK 17. This is a feature I've been hoping Hadoop would support, as JDK 8 and JDK 11 are indeed quite old. I have some good news to share: internally, I have already deployed over 600 NodeManagers compiled with JDK 17 on our YARN cluster, and these NodeManagers are running smoothly. I will soon sync some of the pull requests to the community to drive the JDK 17 upgrade initiative forward.
