Adding dfs.support.sync flag is along the lines of my previous comments. I am
reluctantly okay with enabling it by default. This should be a blocker on 1.1.
It might be easy to revert this patch, and add the new flag, as lot of paths to
be enabled by the new flag are removed in this patch.
