ok. be aware that we are frozen at 2.29.52 until the sdk team address
compatibility issues with external stores. That should work. If a later version
is needed, you'll have to sort that out with your colleagues.
If [~srahman] hasn't warned you -i am obsessive about testing and expect the
quality of tests to be at least as high as production. the challenge is to come
up the failure conditions and stress them as aggressively as you can. a good
ambitious goal here is "can you find a bug in s3 or the sdk?"
