No code changes here since the August 4, 2026 rebase onto current `apache/trunk`. On the refreshed fork-side run, the failing GitHub Build lanes are stopping in the `ubuntu_24` image/container initialization path before checkout/build/test, so this still looks like CI infrastructure on that image path rather than a new DFSInputStream regression from the patch itself. The earlier focused local validation on this branch remains the latest direct patch signal: `TestCorruptMetadataFile` passed after the HDFS-17179 fix.
