Rebased onto trunk `a3febb25` and pushed `04579ead`, including a documentation clarification of the endpoint header prerequisite. The requested split is preserved: VAST 5.4.3.1 still needs request-scoped headers from EnricoMi's #8417 and endpoint validation; the capability tests do not verify recursive deletion. `git diff --check` passes, but I could not rerun endpoint integration here.
