Colin Patrick McCabe commented on HADOOP-9355:
----------------------------------------------
What happened here is that I originally committed HADOOP-9370 with the commit
message of HADOOP-9355. They're very closely related JIRAs that arguably
should have been a single JIRA. I was unable to change it because in
subversion, changes can't be altered after added. Later, tucu backported the
HADOOP-9370 change to branch-2.1, thinking that it was HADOOP-9355 due to the
commit message. This happened as revision 1502065.
I just committed the actual HADOOP-9355 change to branch-2.1-beta, so you
should be able to proceed on HADOOP-9527.

> We'd like to run the symlink tests using both FileContext and the upcoming
> FileSystem implementation. The first step here is abstracting the test logic
> to run on an abstract filesystem implementation.
