Elazar -you've got the rights to edit the wiki. This would be a good start to a
Hadoop internals dection.
I agree with your policy of "don't cover history", -I may add a section to it
about "why Hadoop doesn't use {RPC, WS-*, REST}" -though lo-REST is something
gradually being rolled out for broader app takeup where long-haul and open APIs
matters more than performance and the metaphor of the blocking procedure call.
