I agree we don't want to stick with things forever, and as changes go this is
somewhere between the "no code changes needed" upgrade (e.g. a Junit increment)
and a "rework lots" (which we need to do for JetS3t). What I do slightly worry
about is things downstream that are using the Hadoop-supplied jackson on their
classpath -and what happens if that is moved to 2.x. If there's still a
backwards compatible mode then its less of an issue, I'd just like to get the
openstack on branch-1 work out the way first
