I'm afraid both of you appear to have some network configuration problem.

All we can do is say "follow the wiki link and try their suggestions". There 
may be some other cause in your network -the list isn't exhaustive...if you do 
find a new cause then add it to the list.

I'm going to have to close this as invalid as it works for everyone else, it's 
not a bug in Hadoop, it's something wrong with your network. Sorry
