There is no Java 10 in public development.

# do you mean Java 8? If so, see HADOOP-11090 and close this as a duplicate of 
that JIRA

hadoop trunk & branch2 do actually have java 8 and java 9 profiles, go 
{{-Pjdk8}} for a java 8 language/version mode, and {{-Pjdk9}} for java 9.

Current priority is getting java 8 working everywhere, including with security. 
Java 9 would be worth planning for.
