yes, it gets more complex in FileSystem. That's where having uniform operations
would be nice.
But what if we were to add some object-store-centric operations, where
PUT(path, inputstream src, long len) is the obvious choice -rather than
pretending it was a streaming write? I suppose that could go into
AbstractFileSystem and on a filesys be implemented as a streaming write.
