Actually, we need to move this logic:
https://github.com/apache/hadoop/blob/trunk/dev-support/test-patch.sh#L1946
to be a plugin. (It's always been a code smell to me, but I knew it wouldn't
impact anyone else...)
I have a suspicion that's very similar to what you're trying to accomplish in
the NiFi plugin.
