bq. It seems like this kind of error can happen only if the directory creation
during setUp failed.
This reeks of a race condition with another test that is using the same value
of test.build.data/mapred (why is it mapred anyway?) or perhaps even a naked
test.build.data and nuking the contents out from underneath it.
