I think the answer is no. IIRC, the website gets built from a specified branch.

tool we might make?
I think single git repo is the way to go. At some point, we'll pull out the
shared functions between the various scripts and push them into a library. My
hunch is that it will be easier for the build, test, and site generation
processes if they are in one repo.
